Filtration & Separation — Shaped Wire & Profile Wire
Wedge wire wound onto a cage forms a continuous slot that resists clogging — the basis of oil screens, wedge wire screens and most filter elements. The wire itself is triangular wire.
A wound screen has no crossings, no weave and no dead spots. Because the slot runs uninterrupted around the cylinder, flow stays laminar and backwashing clears the surface instead of driving particles deeper. Open area is set by the triangular wire section, so a change in profile changes performance without changing the housing.
We supply triangular wire and wedge wire for oil screens, screen laterals, filter nozzles, water well screens and industrial filter elements. Section geometry is drawn to your element specification, with the slot face and the support face held to distinct tolerances.
Typical parts we supply wire for
- Oil screens and sand control screens
- Wedge wire screens and screen laterals
- Filter elements, candles and nozzles
- Water well screens and intake screens
- Backwash and self-cleaning filter baskets

What helps us quote quickly
- Give us the open area and the slot width your element must achieve; we will propose the section.
- For corrosive media, 316L or 904L pays for itself quickly.
- Winding tension matters — we can supply wire with a consistent surface finish to suit your winder.
