How to choose the right profile
Shaped and profile wire is specified by three things: the cross-section, the material and the tolerance. If your part needs to fit, seal, conduct or sieve, the geometry does the work — which is why most of our orders start from a drawing rather than a catalogue size.
- Filtration and screens — V-shaped and triangular wire give a wider slot at the bottom than the top, so particles pass instead of jamming. See Triangular Wire and Profile Wire.
- Structural and trim parts — flat, square and U-channel sections hold their shape in assemblies. See Flat Wire, Square Wire and Special Profiles.
- Full custom geometry — irregular or asymmetric sections are drawn from your drawing, including T-bar and J-channel.
