Round-Edge Profile Wire
Profile wire with rounded edges instead of sharp corners, for guides, trim and wear parts where a crisp edge would catch, cut or wear.
| Material | 304 / 316L stainless steel |
|---|---|
| Size range | Custom section with radiused edges, e.g. 3x5 mm |
| Typical application | Guides, trim, conveyor rails, sealing edges |
| Cross-section | Square — also drawn to your drawing |
| Surface | Bright drawn, as required |
| Packing | Coil, spool or straight length |
A sharp corner is fine until it cuts something. On guides, trim, conveyor rails and sealing edges, a crisp edge wears through a belt, nicks a coating or catches a hand. Round-edge profile wire trades a little of that sharpness for a radius that slides instead of cutting.
We roll and draw the section with the radius built in, not filed on afterwards, so the edge is consistent along the whole coil. The radius, the section and the tolerance come off your drawing; the common ones are 3×5 and 4×6 mm with a 0.5–1.5 mm edge radius.

If the radius is there to stop wear, the surface finish matters too — our note on bright vs annealed covers that. For the wider family see profile wire, or send the drawing.
