Support Bar for Wedge Wire Screens

A wedge wire screen is only as good as the bar underneath it. The V-wire forms the slot, but the support bar carries the load, holds the wire at a fixed pitch and takes the weld. Get the bar wrong and the screen sags, the slot drifts and the whole panel has to come off.

We draw support bar in the sections screen builders actually use — round, rectangular, trapezoidal and I-beam — from 304 or 316L stainless. The bar profile is chosen with the duty in mind: a heavier bar stiffens a wide panel, a slimmer one keeps more open area. We match the section to your screen drawing rather than selling one shape for every job.
